Kat (she/they) is a dynamic and deeply engaged therapist who brings intuition, creativity, and rigor to the therapeutic relationship. Initially trained as an actor, Kat draws on a lifetime of experience integrating body-based awareness with cognitive and emotional processes, grounding their work in both lived experience and years of clinical research and practice. They studied at NYU and received their professional degree from The University of Texas at Austin. Kat has advanced training and certification in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT/tapping), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and the Gottman Method for couples. A core area of specialization is differential diagnosis, particularly clarifying and disentangling overlapping presentations of CPTSD, OCD, ADHD, and high‑functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder. This nuanced approach allows Kat to tailor treatment with precision, helping clients better understand themselves and access interventions that truly fit. With a background in addiction treatment and extensive experience supporting individuals and couples through trauma, grief, relationship distress, and life transitions, Kat is especially attuned to how these challenges intersect around identity and attachment. They are passionate about helping clients cultivate clarity, self-trust, and sustainable ways of relating-to themselves, their loved ones, and their wider community. Kat's lived experience with pregnancy and as a parent awakened a passion for peripartum mental health that led them to advanced training through PSI, PSC, Seleni Institute, and University of Michigan. A passionate mental health advocate, Kat is committed to providing thoughtful, comprehensive care-offering not only therapeutic support, but also meaningful resources and coordination-so clients feel confident in their capacities, supported within their partnerships, and connected to their chosen communities.
