My name is Dr. Kelly Meyering and I am a clinical psychologist licensed in New York and Connecticut and based out of New York City. I founded Riverside Psychology, LLC because I don’t believe anyone should have to be alone with their pain. At Riverside Psychology, you can expect a warm and supportive atmosphere, where you will never be judged and always leave feeling like you learned something new.
I began my training at Georgetown University, where I graduated with honors with a B.A. in Psychology. I earned my M.A. and Psy.D. at Yeshiva University, Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. I finished my APA-accredited predoctoral internship at the Brooklyn VA Hospital and my postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
I specialize in providing evidence-based treatments for a range of psychological issues; including anxiety, depression, and trauma-related disorders. I draw flexibly from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), family systems theory, and evidence-based treatments for trauma. In addition to working at Riverside Psychology, I serve as an Adjunct Clinical Supervisor at Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, where I train current doctoral students in the adult clinical CBT program.
