I’ve devoted my 15-year career as a psychologist and therapist to supporting the well-being of college students and young adults.
My work is about helping people better understand their inner experiences (emotions, thoughts, needs, values, beliefs, intuition). This self-awareness opens up space for people to develop self-compassion, to achieve clarity about who they are and what matters to them, and, from there, to make changes to live more a more liberated, authentic life.
Many of the clients I see struggle with feeling uncomfortable with their emotions, bogged down by supporting others, guilty for having needs, too busy to slow down, afraid of being “too much,” overwhelmed or shut down, unsure what they truly want, and held back from expressing their true selves.
Some of the goals my clients and I may work on include: becoming more aware of your feelings, regulating your nervous system, clarifying what you truly want and need, breaking free from harmful messages you've internalized, taking actions that align with your authentic self, developing self-care practices that nurture your well-being, and accessing more joy, freedom, authenticity, and ease in day-to-day life.
Areas of speciality include disordered eating, grief and loss, anxiety, and college transitions (first gen, study abroad, leaves of absence, graduating, etc.).
My other passion is supervising, training, and mentoring graduate students and early career therapists in counseling, clinical/counseling psychology, and social work.
I have previously worked in the college counseling centers at Barnard College, Princeton University, The University of Pennsylvania, Ball State University, and on Semester at Sea.
I am a Level II AEDP therapist.
