Kait Towner, LMHC, PMH-C is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Perinatal Mental Health provider who specializes in supporting women through the emotional complexities of pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood. She works with clients experiencing postpartum anxiety, depression, birth trauma, pregnancy loss, infertility, mom rage, perfectionism, burnout, identity shifts, and the invisible mental load that so many mothers carry.
Kait understands that becoming a parent is one of life's biggest transitions. While it can be deeply meaningful, it can also bring unexpected grief, anxiety, overwhelm, relationship changes, and questions about identity. Her goal is to create a space where women feel safe to be honest about their experiences without fear of judgment or the pressure to "enjoy every moment."
Her therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed, integrating Brainspotting, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), attachment-focused work, and nervous system regulation. She believes that many of the struggles mothers experience are understandable responses to carrying an enormous emotional, physical, and mental load—not personal failures.
In addition to her clinical work, Kait is passionate about educating the public on maternal mental health and reducing the stigma surrounding topics like mom rage, postpartum anxiety, and birth trauma. Through social media, speaking engagements, and professional collaboration, she hopes to help more women feel seen, understood, and less alone.
Kait provides virtual therapy to adults throughout New York and is committed to helping women move from survival mode toward a life that feels more connected, grounded, and sustainable.
