I hold a B.A. from Dartmouth College and M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the City College of New York, CUNY.  I offer remote therapy to individuals and couples located in the state of New York and draw on psychodynamic and relational theory, with a pragmatic openness to integrative techniques, including mindfulness-based, emotion-focused, cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral, and transference-focused psychotherapies.

With a focus on life’s bookends, it’s my privilege to support individuals navigating the birthing process (including fertility, pregnancy, and early parenthood) and the dying process (including end-of-life support, family transitions, and bereavement). In between, my areas of expertise include creative expression and self-actualization, personal and professional transitions, depression and anxiety, attachment disruptions, and intergenerational, developmental, and adult-onset trauma. Interest areas also include post-traumatic growth, ecopsychology, spirituality, non-ordinary states of consciousness, dream analysis and psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy.

Prior to completing my doctorate, I worked at Columbia’s Barnard Toddler Center (where I scaffolded learning and play for ages one to three), Columbia Medical Center’s Perinatal Pathways Lab (where I researched the impact of perinatal development on postnatal outcomes), and the City University of New York (where I taught courses in child psychology as an adjunct professor).  I completed my pre-doctoral internship at the Brooklyn VA Medical Center, with rotations in the PTSD Clinic (where I provided trauma-informed treatment in the aftermath of military combat and sexual violence), the Primary Care Clinic (where patients navigated medical concerns including chronic illness and end-of-life considerations), and the Women’s Clinic (with focus areas in fertility, pregnancy, and motherhood).

In addition to my private therapy practice, I currently work as an Adherence Rater for the MAPS clinical trials investigating MDMA-assisted psychotherapy for the treatment of PTSD. I have also facilitated psilocybin experiences with Beckley Retreats in Jamaica.
