Laura Conn (She/ Her)

I work in private practice at Elizabeth Gellman Psychological Services. I am extensively trained in both DBT and CBT. I am specialized in the treatment of adolescents and adults with emotional and behavioral dysregulation, mood and personality disorders, trauma, interpersonal struggles, ADHD and OCD.

Laura received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan and her Master of Science in Clinical Social Work from New York University. She has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in a range of clinical settings including hospitals, outpatient programs and schools. Her areas of expertise and experience include treating individuals with emotional and behavioral dysregulation, mood and personality disorders, trauma, interpersonal struggles, ADHD and OCD.

Laura has received extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) as well as other Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) treatments including exposure therapy for OCD and anxiety (EXRP), Prolonged Exposure (PE) and Cognitive Processing therapy (CPT) for Trauma and PTSD, and Family and Couples Based Treatments.

​Prior to working in private practice, Laura worked at CCDBT as a member of a fully comprehensive DBT team. She provided individual therapy in CBT and DBT, couples therapy, parent coaching, as well as co-led DBT skills groups for adolescents and adults. She completed her clinical internships working at Bellevue Hospitals’ Opioid Outpatient treatment program and a Middle School in Brooklyn.
