Lea Received a Masters Degree in Clinical Social work from Florida State University and holds a certificate in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Training from The Washington School of Psychiatry. She is currently undergoing additional training at The Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy, specializing in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. She previously provided individual and group therapy to children and adolescents in elementary and middle schools. Lea is passionate about supporting clients through anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, life transitions, and identity and interpersonal challenges.
Lea’s therapeutic approach is psychodynamically informed, incorporating components of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), relational therapy, and mindfulness practices. Her counseling style is warm, interactive, and client-driven. Lea knows firsthand how transformative therapy can be, and is honored to co-create a safe space of openness and growth with her clients. She is a firm believer in lifelong learning, and feels strongly that everyone has the ability to heal and experience growth.
