I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), licensed to practice in New York and New Jersey. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the Steve Hicks School of Social Work at the University of Texas at Austin, and later completed my Master of Social Work with a Clinical Concentration at the University of Chicago Crown School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice. I serve on the Young Professionals Board of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)-NYC, where I support efforts to expand awareness, advocacy, and access to mental health resources.
My clinical training includes work in Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization (PHP) programs, where I supported children, adolescents, and young adults in crisis. I have completed specialized fellowships through the University of Chicago, including the Contextual Behavioral Therapy Fellowship and the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Practice and Consultation Fellowship. I also hold certification in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) from the Behavioral Tech Institute.
As a therapist, I believe that everyone has the capacity to heal, grow, and build a life worth living. My approach to therapy is rooted in genuine curiosity, warmth, and connection. I understand that seeking therapy can feel daunting and I strive to create a supportive space where you can be your authentic self without fear of judgment. I draw on a variety of evidence-based practices, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I tailor my approach to your unique needs and goals.
Whether you're navigating symptoms of anxiety, depression, or OCD, or life transitions, challenges in your relationships, or feelings of low self-worth, I am here to help you explore and understand your emotions and patterns in a way that promotes self-compassion while undertaking meaningful change. I believe that a life worth living is one that is consistent with your personal values.
In our work together, I will support you in learning evidenced-based skills to increase your capacity to cope with life's challenges, manage challenging emotions, and build resilience. My therapeutic values center on compassion and curiosity to support you in building a life worth living.
Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy practicing yoga, experimenting in the kitchen with NYT Cooking recipes, connecting with friends over good food, winding down with a favorite TV show alongside my husband, and going for long walks with our dog, Nellie.
