Dr. Martinez (she/her) is a clinical psychologist, bilingual in Spanish. Her training and theoretical approach includes: psychodynamic and empirically supported treatments (Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness) and interpersonal work. She treats individuals and couples, from pre-teens to adults, in her private practice. Dr. Martinez has a special focus on working with young adults, reproductive mental health, perinatal care and perinatal mood disorders, parenting (from birth to teens), transgender, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming health, diversity and race issues, and partner/couples work.

Dr. Martinez is a certified gender affirming provider by the World Professional Association of Transgender Health (WPATH). In addition, Dr. Martinez is supervisory faculty and an Assistant Professor, Department of Psychiatry, Zucker School of Medicine, at Hofstra University, Northwell Health. She is also an assessment supervisor for Ph.D. Candidates at Teachers College, Columbia University's Doctorate Program in Clinical Psychology.
