Dr. Mary Carnesale Gallagher is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based approaches.  Dr. Gallagher works with preteens, teens, adults, and families.  She has expertise in the treatment of depression, anxiety, trauma, impulsive and self-destructive behaviors, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and stress management. Dr. Gallagher also offers groups for postnatal recovery and mindful parenting. 

Dr. Gallagher received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Duke University and her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University/Albert Einstein College of Medicine.  She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Montefiore Medical Center and her post-doctoral fellowship at the Center for Cognitive and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (CCDBT).  Dr. Gallagher completed intensive training in DBT through Behavioral Tech, LLC and has completed trainings in Prolonged Exposure Therapy and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). 

Dr. Gallagher is currently an Adjunct Clinical Supervisor at the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology where she provides supervision to graduate students in training. She previously served as an Adjunct Clinical Professor at Ferkauf teaching a CBT skills course. Dr. Gallagher has also led trainings and workshops for both doctoral students and professionals, including CBT for depression, DBT, and mindfulness.
