Melodee Morrison LCSW, is a psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioral Therapist in Rye NY. She graduated from Fordham Graduate School of Social Services and also completed a year with the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with the designation of Diplomate. Melodee was a Clinical Social Worker and then Supervisor of Social Work, Women's Unit, at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Westchester Division for 12 years. At NYPH, Melodee worked with severely mentally ill women and their families to help them develop new skills in dealing with illness and to begin to repair relationships that had been broken. She has applied these critical skills to her private practice with patients who suffer from a wide range of symptoms including anxiety, depression, Bi-polar Disorder, significant life changes and more.
Her practice, The Morrison Group, offers outpatient services to both women and men, individually, as couples, and for family therapy. In addition, because of Melodee's extensive experience in the arts and the corporate world, she offers a unique set of skills and understanding that is helpful to many clients. She also provides supervision for social workers and group facilitation for churches and other organizations struggling with decision making/problem solving and building cohesive teams.
