I am a clinical psychologist based in the NY/NJ area with a specialized focus on treating OCD, anxiety, perfectionism, and relationship issues. My approach relies upon evidence-based therapies to provide effective treatments backed by science and tailored to you. After completing over four years of mentorship and supervised training under the guidance of renowned OCD expert Dr. Steven Phillipson, I am fully equipped with the necessary tools to accompany you at any stage of your journey. Whether you're simply questioning a diagnosis or have undergone therapy previously, I'm here to offer my expertise and support.
As a first-generation American, I bring a unique perspective to my practice, understanding the profound impact that experience and demographic factors can have on one's mental health. This means I don't provide blanket treatment recommendations that may be healthy or an option for some, but not for others. I'll help you explore what is actually possible and how to find acceptance while making changes that actually fit with your lifestyle and abilities. In diagnosis and treatment planning, I prioritize the consideration of these diverse influences, recognizing their significance in shaping individual experiences.
It's essential to me that every individual feels safe and respected in therapy, regardless of their background or beliefs. I approach each client with an open mind and a commitment to providing compassionate, non-discriminatory, and non-judgmental care. Whether you lean left, right, or center politically, you'll find a safe haven in my practice. You don't need to fear discussing any topic, even if you worry it might not be politically correct or might reflect negatively on you. Therapy is a confidential space where you can explore any aspect of your life without judgment. In my practice, diversity and inclusivity are not just buzzwords; they are fundamental principles that guide every aspect of the therapeutic process.
I conduct sessions virtually on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. For those preferring in-person sessions, Thursdays are available. Evening appointments from 5-7 pm are offered on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
