I am a psychologist licensed in NY and CT. I work with clients who want to address depression, anxiety, interpersonal/family difficulties, and past traumatic experiences. I aim to support clients in processing past trauma, reducing PTSD symptoms, feeling more empowered in their lives, and connecting to their values. I also work with individuals with OCD and other anxiety disorders. Utilizing exposure and response prevention and cognitive behavioral therapy, I try to help people feel more in control of anxiety and intrusive thoughts. Another specialty of mine is working with individuals with ADHD, especially those who may have been misdiagnosed as children.

I also provide neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessment to children (age 8+), adolescents, and adults in order to assess for and diagnose intellectual disability, learning disorders, and Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). I assess for different domains of functioning (i.e., cognitive, academic, language, learning/memory, attention/executive functioning, emotional, behavioral, adaptive) to get a comprehensive picture of one’s functioning and helps collaborate with schools, etc. to find appropriate accommodations for my clients.

I am trained in psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused CBT, and exposure and response prevention (ERP). In therapy, my approach emphasizes feeling safe and having a strong therapeutic relationship. In session, I balance insight-oriented and skills-based approaches. I am active in teaching and helping clients develop new, healthy coping skills and emotion regulation skills, in order to deal with stress better.

My style is warm, collaborative, and engaging. Having consulted and researched cross-cultural psychology internationally, I enjoy working with diverse clients. I am committed to integrating feminist and multicultural approaches into therapy, and will help clients explore ways in which societal expectations, as well as oppression and privilege, impact mental health.
