I am a seasoned psychologist who specializes in treating OCD and anxiety disorders. When treating OCD, I work with clients to choose from two empirically based approaches, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) or Inference-Based CBT (ICBT). Since 2003, I have helped many clients learn new effective ways to alleviate OCD symptoms. I completed post doctoral training with a renowned OCD expert and am continually working on my therapeutic skills. My work also addresses Generalized Anxiety Disotrder, Panic Disorder, Health Anxiety, and Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder. Additional issues I treat include relationship difficulties, work stress, and general well being improvement. There is room in our work together to address any issues that are distressing and getting in your way.

I am an interactive psychologist and rely on empirically supported treatment methods, including techniques from traditional Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and from Mindfulness and Acceptance based therapies. Mindfulness skills help clients stay present and make space for uncomfortable thoughts and emotions rather than avoiding, escaping, or undoing them.

My in-depth understanding of the many presentations of OCD and use of research based methods contributes to my treatment success. I frequently work with clients who present with "Pure-O," a type of OCD where the person's compulsions are not able to be seen by others. I also frequently work with clients whose obsessions reflect topics that are "taboo" in nature.

I work collaboratively with clients to identify and reach their treatment goals. I strive to create a supportive therapeutic relationship where clients can learn techniques to continually work towards their valued life goals. My website is www.drnancymiller.com.
