Clinical Social Work/Therapist, MA, LCSW-R
Nicole Tammelleo is a licensed clinical social worker who has been working in the fields of health and sexuality for over 15 years. After college, she volunteered with the Peace Corps in Cameroon, where she developed and instituted numerous initiatives, including educating young adults on reproductive and sexual health, HIV prevention, and safe-pregnancy practices. Ms. Tammelleo continued her international work with the International Rescue Committee in Rwanda as Program Manager for a sexual and gender based violence prevention program, pioneering one of the first programs of its kind in a post-conflict setting. Since completing her Master’s in Social Work, she has provided therapy and advocacy to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault through a city-wide Victims’ Assistance program in New York City. As a consultant and educator she provides workshops for youth and adults on healthy sexuality across the country. She has created a holistic approach to preventing and understanding sexual violence and believes understanding one's own sexuality is the best place to start. Nicole specializes in working with survivors of sexual and intimate partner abuse, as well as violence prevention.
