My journey as a psychologist began in a field where there were very few who looked or sounded like me - an Asian immigrant woman with an accent. This early experience has deeply informed my passion for creating an affirming space for people who, at times during their life or career, feel like outsiders.
Fluent in both English and Mandarin, my passion is to help individuals turn obstacles into resilience. Whether they need support for relationship counseling, stress management, significant life transitions, or couples therapy, I'm here to provide guidance and support. I also offer mental-health-informed executive coaching to individuals committed to achieving career success and personal well-being.
My therapeutic approach draws from psychodynamic therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and muticultural psychology. I help clients recognize negative patterns in their lives and relationships and empower them with practical skills for positive change. My style is collaborative, strength-based, and culturally responsive, encouraging clients to tap into existing resources, whether within themselves or their cultural backgrounds, to build confidence and achieve their goals.
Clients consistently describe our sessions as engaging, warm, and empowering. Through our work together, they gain increased confidence, adaptability, and skillfulness in navigating life's challenges, as well as the ability to forge meaningful relationships.
