I am a psychologist, practicing, teaching and supervising on the UWS of NYC for 20 years. I think psychodynamically but incorporate both analytic and cognitive-behavioral methods in my treatment approach. I utilize techniques tailored to each person's unique needs. I am committed to working with each patient to help build on their strengths while identifying patterns of behavior and providing guidance to discover solutions and achieve their goals. My office provides a warm and caring atmosphere where one can be supported in a process that is painful at times.
I am interested in trauma and specialize in the treatment of trauma, depression, anxiety, eating disorders and addictions including alcohol abuse, substance abuse and food addictions. Along with an analyic approach I use moderation management, harm reduction and relapse prevention when treating addictions. I also have extensive experience with separation anxiety
