Pamela Haynes

Pamela is a licensed master social worker (LMSW) with a passion for social justice and helping people to empower themselves to grow, learn and create change in their lives. Through a biopsychosocial lens, she utilizes a strengths-based and non-judgmental approach to collaborate with clients to help them achieve their goals. Including humor and authenticity, her clinical style is warm and engaging to foster a supportive therapeutic relationship.

Pamela received her undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California and earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from Fordham University. She completed her clinical internship at the Mental Health Association of Westchester where she gained experience working with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, panic disorder, suicidal ideation, and post-traumatic stress disorder. She employs various interventions including (but not limited to) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). As a mother of two teen boys, she has experience navigating adolescent mental health challenges from both perspectives of parent and clinician which has given her a unique approach to family systems.

Prior to becoming a mental health professional, Pamela founded Hustle Pilates where she has taught clients how to develop self-awareness and self-esteem by strengthening the mind body connection through movement. She views the mind body as interconnected and values movement as a powerful tool to connect to our feelings. Her passion for mental health and helping people using the therapeutic process, was a natural next step to her past work as an actor where she channeled her empathy into storytelling as a vehicle for social impact.
