I am a warm, empathic board-certified psychiatrist. I help clients in therapy by providing a safe environment to explore difficulties, capitalize on strengths, develop coping skills, aiming ultimately to create a life that is fulfilling and meaningful.

My clinical practice is devoted mostly to seniors, who are frequently facing challenging situations requiring significant adjustments.

I frequently provide support to individuals grappling with the following:

  • Retirement
  • Downsizing and/or altered living situations
  • Loss of independence related to decline in physical health, memory loss and cognitive changes (of self or partners) and the need for caregivers
  • Grief related to loss of friends and family
  • Unresolved family issues
  • Isolation and boredom
  • Financial hardship
  • Adjustment to technology
  • Resurfacing of old traumas and experiences

If you feel stuck, haunted by past traumas or unable to make progress toward your goals, I may be able to help.

As a cancer survivor, an immigrant and a single parent, and with clinical experience working with survivors of trauma, adults of all ages, and families, I use my personal and professional experience to provide support.

I am skilled in insight oriented psychodynamic therapy, family therapy and CBT. I prescribe medication when indicated.

I have a practice on the Upper West Side and offer virtual and in person therapy. I accept Medicare.
