Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, PMHNP, CNM
I am a nurse midwife and psychiatric nurse practitioner providing individual and group psychotherapy and medication management for preconception, pregnant and postpartum clients. I practice collaboratively with Boro Park Ob/Gyn and Midwifery in Williamsburg, and my practice is open to clients who are not affiliated with the practice.
I have 14 years experience in labor and delivery, first as a labor and delivery nurse, then as a midwife in NYC hospitals for a decade. During that time, my focus shifted to the gap in maternal mental health. I attended NYU for my post master’s in Psychiatric Nursing, and the Gestalt Institute for Psychotherapy and Training for advanced psychotherapy training.
In addition to clinical practice, I teach perinatal psychiatry as an adjunct professor at New York University, within the Midwifery and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner programs. I am also a volunteer with Postpartum Support Intermational and on the board of NYC Midwives, the local chapter of the American College of Nurse Midwives.
I love working with families and helping those who struggle to become well, with individualized and evidence based interventions and support.
