Rachael Hands is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), EMDR Certified Therapist, EMDRIA Approved Consultant, and Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) with over 15 years of yoga practice informing her work. She is also a Certified Clinical Supervisor and provides supervision to emerging therapists, as well as consultation to EMDR clinicians. Rachael is licensed in New York, New Jersey, Florida, and Maine, and is trained in R-TEP/G-TEP to support individuals who have experienced recent trauma.
Rachael works virtually with adults (18+) from diverse backgrounds, supporting concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, dissociation, grief, addiction, and life transitions. Her clinical focus centers on trauma, dissociation, somatic integration, and EMDR.
Her approach is client-centered, grounded in the belief that clients are the experts of their own lives. She works collaboratively to identify goals and break them into manageable steps, offering both compassion and thoughtful challenge to support meaningful growth. Rachael adapts her work to each individual, creating a space that is supportive, non-judgmental, and responsive to clients’ evolving needs.
She integrates yoga principles and somatic awareness into therapy, recognizing that healing involves both the mind and body. By weaving together EMDR, mindfulness, and body-based practices, Rachael offers a holistic approach that fosters deeper self-awareness, resilience, and lasting change.
