Rianna Black is a licensed clinical social worker, who specializes in providing psychotherapy to clients across the age spectrum experiencing depression, anxiety, or who are overcoming the impacts of trauma. Rianna is a caring, compassionate, and thoughtful therapist. Rianna Black currently works with Resilience Lab, a private group practice in NYC, providing services both remotely and in person in the Flatiron district.

Rianna uses an eclectic approach including elements of CBT, psychodynamic theory, motivational interviewing, problem-solving therapy, and mindfulness-based practices. 

Rianna received her master’s degree in social work from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College in 2017. Rianna has demonstrated experience providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults in private practice, community-based clinics, and hospital settings. Rianna has received training in trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and problem-solving therapy. Rianna will be attending the 2-year Psychodynamic Psychotherapy training with the Psychoanalytic Association of New York beginning in fall 2022.
