When a young person is struggling, it impacts the whole family. I believe that kids and teens are doing their best to communicate something important, even when their behavior is confusing or difficult. At the core of my work is a trusting relationship with each child or teen, one that allows us to explore what might be going on beneath the surface, often through conversation, play, storytelling, or creative expression, depending on age and personality.
My approach is grounded in contemporary, relational psychoanalytic therapy. That means I’m not just focused on symptoms – I'm interested in helping patients make sense of themselves, their world, relationships, and experiences. I bring curiosity, an artsy spirit, humor, and warmth to the room, integrating my previous career as a musical theatre writer and producer into my work as a therapist.
I see children ages 5+, teens, and adults, with a special affinity for middle schoolers. Parents and caregivers are essential partners in this work; I provide regular check-ins, guidance, and a space for reflection, so that we’re all working together to support your child’s growth and well-being.
