Jody Ann Shelby

As a licensed clinical social worker with over 25 years of experience, I assist individuals and couples with a wide range of emotional and relationship issues. I strive to form a collaborative, supportive and professional relationship with all clients. I understand how difficult it is to discuss highly personal issues such as anxiety, depression, self esteem, relationship and family issues.

I help clients to understand current behaviors and feelings, as well as the context and possible origin for past family and relationship patterns. My approach is active and positive. My primary goal is to reduce symptoms, improve relationships and gain greater insight that can be put into practice.

I have completed a Post Masters Certificate in Psychotherapy from New York University, as well as trainings in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Mindfullness Practices, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy,as well as others.

I am also a Certified Imago Relationship Therapist which provides an effective framework for working wih couples successfully. In addtion, I am a Certified Professional Coach.
