In my psychotherapy practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to treat issues such as depression, anxiety, sleeping issues, procrastination, low self-esteem, and anger. I provide support during significant life stressors, including career/work issues, relationship turmoil, pregnancy/parenting concerns, and bereavement. I am also a native New Yorker, and understand many of the unique issues we face.
CBT is a highly effective, research-backed style of talk therapy that emphasizes the role of cognitions in mental health. During our sessions, I will actively listen to your concerns, and teach you skills that will help you cope with your stress, meet your goals, and improve your outlook.
I have three years of postgraduate training in cognitive therapy, a Master's degree in Social Work from Hunter College, and an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts from Pratt Institute. I look forward to hearing from you and helping you achieve your therapy goals.
