People seek therapy in the hope that something in life can be better. No matter what's going on, this impulse to do more for yourself or your child, to find a freer way of being in the world, is a meaningful place to start. I believe in meeting you wherever you are and working together on an approach to help. I treat children, adolescents, adults, and relationship dyads (familial, platonic, romantic). I'm especially passionate about supporting people navigating shame, guilt, rumination, depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, and moments of terrible uncertainty, whether due to life transitions, questions of identity, or something else.
My stance is relational, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and neuro-affirming. I draw on psychodynamics; narrative therapy; family systems; ACT, CBT, and DBT; play therapy; mindfulness, grounding, and humor. But above all, I believe in collaborating to center you and your needs.
My goal is to provide a steady, attuned, and safe environment in which to pursue symptom relief and deeper self-understanding. I welcome all identities and offer in-person therapy in Brooklyn/Manhattan and virtual therapy across New York.
