Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW
I believe effective therapy begins with a strong client/therapist relationship. Together we create a space of trust and connection, to explore what feels most pressing for you now, as well as old patterns that may be holding you back from greater happiness and ease.
Life can be overwhelming at times, especially in this city. Therapy can be a way to understand why you might feel stuck, or what may be causing your important relationship to suffer. Starting therapy can be both daunting and exciting, and finding the right therapist for you, is key.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive and non-judgmental. I bring a spirit of creativity to our work, and encourage curiosity and humor whenever possible.
I have over 10 years of clinical experience and post-graduate training in psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. My stance is affirming and anti-racist. I see each person I work with as a unique individual; adults, couples, people of color, LGBQ and trans identified. I practice from an integrated mind/body approach, and believe mindfulness techniques can be helpful in addressing anxiety.
My specialties include relationship issues, identity questions, sexuality, major life-transitions, infertility and alternative reproduction, as well as stress reduction including mindfulness techniques.
