My practice is located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.
I am a licensed clinical social worker with 15 years of experience in the treatment of anxiety, depression, relational trauma, and LGBTQ+ issues, including fertility. I also have expertise in helping people cope with vision loss and other disabilities.
Prior to private practice, I worked at the Lieber Clinic at Columbia University where I specialized in working with adults with executive functioning problems, ADHD, and mood disorders including psychosis. Additionally, I was part of Columbia’s faculty practice.
I am a graduate of the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy’s adult psychodynamic psychotherapy program and completed the intensive psychodynamic psychotherapy program at William Alanson White Institute (WAWI). At present, I am training at WAWI's Eating Disorders, Compulsions and Addictions Program.
In treatment, I emphasize creating a safe environment for clients to explore what may be preventing them from living a more fulfilling life. The work may initially be focused on reducing distressing symptoms and often evolves into exploration of powerful underlying feelings that clients have previously been disconnected from.
