Shauna is a licensed social worker and psychotherapist in New York State with training from the Psychoanalytic Training Institute of the New York Counseling and Guidance Service (NYCGS). Shauna integrates a psychodynamic framework, bringing an awareness of how the past informs the future, implementing mind-body connection awareness, as well as cognitive and behavior modalities to create a holistic approach to understanding and working with clients in the present.
Shauna celebrates the therapeutic space, where she believes authentic expression can be shared, seen, and held in order to find truth. When working with diverse populations, Shauna maintains a curiosity, a search and endeavor for meaning and understanding of the client’s experience. She values the client-therapist relationship wholeheartedly. She invites the energetic collaboration of finding the treasure within.
