Psychiatrist
Dr. Whitney Simone is a board-certified psychiatrist and founder of Simone Psychiatry, where she specializes in compassionate, integrative care tailored for high-achieving women navigating high-pressure lives. Dr. Simone offers a medically-informed, hormone-conscious approach that combines thoughtful medication management, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and lifestyle-oriented strategies to support emotional balance, mental clarity, and sustainable well-being.
Her practice is designed to provide a comfortable, human space for individuals to address burnout, brain fog, perimenopause, PMDD, adult ADHD, autism, and major life transitions—especially when traditional care models have felt rushed, cold, or transactional. Dr. Simone emphasizes context-driven care and collaborative treatment planning that empowers women to understand their own bodies while moving beyond just "getting by." Dr. Simone’s integrative model reflects her commitment to looking at the whole picture: blending evidence-based conventional psychiatry with root-cause investigations, lab work, sleep support, and personalized lifestyle optimization to help patients reconnect with themselves and truly thrive.
Dr. Simone is located in Trumansburg, NY (serving the Ithaca and Finger Lakes region), where she sees patients in person. She is licensed in New York and Pennsylvania and sees patients virtually throughout both states.
Dr. Simone is a graduate of Temple University School of Medicine and completed her Psychiatry Residency at the University of Pennsylvania (2017). She is a trained psychodynamic psychotherapist, and has additional training in prescribing hormones. She is board-certified in General Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology.
