I have extensive experience in crisis intervention and helping people to reach a point of stasis after an event that disrupts their life: a relationship break up, a job loss, a traumatic event, or other life transition. As a psychotherapist my clinical focus is on substance use disorders/addictions, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, trauma, anxiety, and depression, utilizing a relational, psychodynamic approach informed by CBT and DBT while utilizing a relational and supportive approach. With 6 years’ experience working in the hospital setting, 3 years on a Substance Use Disorder Unit, 2 years on the Borderline Personality Disorder Unit, and 1 year working on a Young Adult Mood Disorder Unit. I see the therapeutic relationship as a partnership and my practice attitude is collaborative, warm and empathic. I am currently offering virtual tele-health appointments.
