Dr. Sophia Brenner is a licensed clinical psychologist who works with adults, adolescents, and children. She specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma, and perinatal mood disorders. She has advanced training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. She is in private practice at IMPACT Psychological Services in Westchester, NY, where she currently serves as the Director of the Integrated Adolescent DBT Program.

Dr. Brenner is passionate about bringing a warm and collaborative approach in her work with clients. She integrates evidence-based interventions with psychodynamic psychotherapy, taking into account the unique needs of each of her clients. She also has specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Adolescents (DBT-A) and Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP). Dr. Brenner has worked across outpatient hospital settings, inpatient hospitals, community based clinics, and therapeutic schools. She believes that the therapeutic relationship is integral to creating meaningful change in therapy. Additionally, Dr. Brenner conducts comprehensive neuropsychological and psychodiagnostic evaluations for children, teens and adults. She earned her doctorate degree at the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, and completed her internship and post-doctoral training at Mount Sinai Hospital.
