I'm an AASECT-certified MD sex & relationship therapist in full-time private practice on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. I'm also Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mt Sinai in NYC, a regular contributor to PsychologyToday, and a frequent guest on major media.

My practice is entirely devoted to sex therapy and relationship concerns. I have experience with a wide variety of treatment approaches, but if pressed I'll admit to favoring treatments that are collaborative, results-oriented, and have clear goals. For more info, see my FAQs page or my blog.

A few years ago I realized there were no good books for patients about sexual emotions, so I decided to write one myself.  The book was published by St Martin's Press in 2018 as Love Worth Making: How to Have Ridiculously Great Sex in a Long-Lasting Relationship.

We've had great press so far -- https://www.sexualityresource.com/press/  Women's health guru + NYTimes bestselling author Dr Christiane Northrup wrote, "Hands down the most practical, fun, and empowering book I’ve ever read on how to have a fabulous sex life in a committed relationship."

I'm a passionate advocate for better understanding of male-female gender differences, and of how gender figures into treatment. My work has been featured on NBCToday and in Elle, Vogue, Allure, Glamour, Women's Health, Women's Fitness, Cosmo, Salon, Reader's Digest, AARP, The Atlantic, Huffington Post, GOOP, Brides, Bustle, Essence, and TheCut.  In 2012 Dolce & Gabbana invited me to co-host the launch of their new fragrance "Desire" in St Petersburg, Russia.

My wife and I live on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, where we raised two kids to near-adulthood. We still enjoy the neighborhood very much (even with all the construction going on).
