Jenice is a Latina EMDR therapist, specializing in childhood/generational trauma, grief and first responders. She is the founder of her practice Sunlight Psychotherapy, and provides in-person (in Jersey City) and virtual support to clients throughout NY & NJ. Her work is affirming of those belonging to marginalized communities, such as Immigrant, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and Neurodivergent.
In addition to utilizing EMDR to support clients, Jenice integrates DBT, Mindfulness, and Parts Work to tailor each session to her client. Each client and their challenges are understood through a BioPsychoSocial and Social Justice lens.
In addition to traditional weekly/bi-weekly therapy sessions, Jenice also offers Adjunctive EMDR, EMDR Intensives, and is actively working to implement Neurofeedback into her work with clients.
When not meeting with clients, Jenice enjoys networking with other clinicians, spending time with her spouse and their 4 year old son, going to hot yoga, and basking in the sun like a cat.
