Hi there! I am a mental health counselor serving adults 18-90+ in New York and Florida. I offer individual, family, and group therapy for bereavement, medical trauma, caregiver burnout, religious trauma, and trauma from experiences in higher education. If what you face involves a hospital, church, or college, I want to help!
My approach emphasizes creating a safe and supportive environment where we can creatively (and sometimes playfully!) explore the challenges you face and how you are responding to them. In our work together, I'll often ask, "Where does this (behavior, thought, emotion) come from? What purpose does it serve?" From there, we can work together to build the life that you're looking for. In therapy jargon terms, my approach is informed by psychodynamic, somatic, and humanistic therapies; I have also been trained in EMDR.
