I am a licensed clinical psychologist practicing in New York City. I offer individual therapy to adults, and specialize in treating people who have experienced trauma, people who are struggling with interpersonal relationships, and working with LGBTQIA+ folks.

I approach our work together from a psychodynamic perspective, meaning that we will focus on more fully understanding yourself and your motivations. I think of it as moving you closer to yourself and your own intuition. With this in mind, we will listen closely to what is being said and unsaid.

In addition to general psychotherapy, I offer expertise in working through trauma. At its heart, trauma disrupts connections. It disrupts connections in relationships, connections between thoughts, between our emotions, between body signals, and it disrupts our connection to self. Psychodynamic psychotherapy works to reconstitute these links.

I have found therapy to be an inherently creative process. I enjoy using archetypes and playful metaphor as part of the creative therapeutic process. I welcome individuals who would like to bring aspects of tarot, literature, ritual, and/or art to our sessions for inspiration.

I received a Master's degree from Seattle University in Existential Psychology, and subsequently received my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The New School in New York City. During my training, I have held clinical positions at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, The New School Counseling Center, Brooklyn VA Military Sexual Trauma Clinic, and Bellevue Hospital. I additionally completed my Postdoctoral Fellowship and went on to hold a faculty appointment at the Mount Sinai World Trade Center Mental Health Program, where I worked with first responders and pioneered services for queer folks within the program. I have also completed the Meaning Centered Psychotherapy training through Memorial Sloan Kettering, and worked as part of the Dialectical Behavioral Therapy team at the WTC program. I have spent the last few years as part of the Therapists of New York group practice in New York City, working with individual patients and supervising psychologists in training. I am currently in private practice in NYC.
