I'm William (he/him), and I am a licensed psychotherapist and trauma therapist. I work with individuals and couples who want to break harmful cycles of intense emotional reactivity. These cycles can include: aggressive acting out (openly or in secret), infidelity, uncontrollable floods of tears or fits of rage, dissociation, or complete shutdowns. I utilize a trauma-focused lens and hands-on technique to help clients slow down, uncover hidden wounds, and feel in control of their bodies and their choices as they build pleasure-filled lives.

My style is to be actively-engaged, warm, and direct. I love to help clients go deeper and feel safe to explore the things that have been too hard to look at alone or with their partner. I work well with those who crave authenticity, want to be "called out", and need to be sure they won't be judged. I bring an eclectic and relational approach designed to empower the mind-body system in its natural ability to heal. I draw from my training in EFT, IFS, and EMDR.

Before private practice, I worked extensively with individuals coming out of the prison-system for sexual violence. From this experience, I carry a deep awareness for the need to show up with compassion, acceptance, and the capacity to hold whatever clients need to unpack.

I work in-person in downtown NYC (FiDi) and provide video telehealth sessions for clients throughout NY and CT.
