Hi. I have been training for 15 years in psychotherapy after careers in policy analysis and film production. My therapy career started with a degree in social work from Hunter College. Subsequently, I trained in couples and family therapy at the Ackerman Institute. While there I was Esther Perel's personal assistant for a year, culling materials for her book on treating infidelity as well as supporting her in her trainings and workshops. All this was in exchange for attending her supervision sessions. Incredible experience and great training!

After that I worked for two years at the Jewish Board of Children and Family Services in the Bronx. I left there to work and train at the National Institute for the Psychotherapies (NIP), where I attended their psychoanalytic training program for two years while seeing patients in their adult clinic. Clear that I wanted to focus more deeply on traumatology, I got trained in EMDR and graduated to NIP's three year trauma treatment program. I treated patients in their EMDR clinic in exchange for excellent supervision and training from top trauma specialists in the New York area. In addition to this I completed NIP's one year certificate program in traumatology called the Integrative Trauma Program.

Additionally, I have taken all of Ricki Bernstein's trainings on somatic interventions. Dr. Hea-Kyung Kwon was my (amazing) supervisor for two years, and currently I am in Amy Rosenthal's supervision group and meet occasionally with Robin Shapiro for individual supervision.

My favorite modalities are EMDR, somatic interventions, IFS and ego state interventions. I pay close attention to affect regulation and spend lots of time with my patients on building those skills and abilities... I love to learn and continue training through organizations such as EMDRIA and ISSTD as well as whatever I can learn from Robin Shapiro! I am a member of NEFESH, WMHC, NASW and am always open to learning more... I love to work colloboratively when indicated.

In terms of my areas of specialization, I most love women's health, couples, and treating trauma and it's sequalae. I work with adults, age 18+, couples and families.
