Therapists of New York is welcoming applications for licensed clinical psychologists. The position starts anytime between now and February 2022.
Therapists of New York is a thriving group private practice and clinical psychology training program located in Midtown Manhattan. We work with a diverse group of adults, adolescents, and couples. Our patients are generally high functioning and are seeking help with anxiety, relationship issues, depression and trauma.
Our orientation is integrated and eclectic; our core is psychodynamic and, when clinically indicated, we integrate CBT, EFT, ACT, IFS and DBT. Currently we are seeking clinicians who have a speciality in couples and/or sex therapy, personality disorders, perinatal psychology, parenting, LGBTQIA+ specific issues, somatic work, substance abuse or other clinical specializations. We are also open to a dynamically oriented generalist if the fit is right.
The environment at Therapists of New York is warm, flexible, collaborative and innovative. We are a tight knit community who genuinely enjoy connecting and consulting with one another.
There are varied types of positions available at Therapists of New York, ranging from a predominantly clinical workload (20-25 hours of clinical work), a program developer for our training programs (which consists of lovely externs and postdoctoral fellows) and our Psychotherapy For All Fund (a low fee program geared towards providing psychotherapy to people who identify with underserved communities and cannot afford therapy), and/or a larger teaching and supervisory role. Positions are created around the employee’s interests and specialties. There are many opportunities to grow and obtain additional training if interested.
The position is salaried with 4 weeks paid vacation + national holidays off. Health and dental benefits are included.
Our ideal candidate is someone who is warm, collaborative, open, and has a passion for learning and teaching. Therapists of New York is an equal opportunity employer and highly encourages people from diverse backgrounds to apply.
