Tatyana Mestechkina

Psychologist, Ph.D

Tatyana Mestechkina, Ph.D. is the Founder and Clinical Director of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for Better Living. She is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, practicing in New York, New Jersey and Florida.

She has particular expertise and interest in using evidence-based treatment for obsessive compulsive spectrum, anxiety disorders and women's issues. She was trained by a world-renowned expert in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP/ExRP), the gold-standard of OCD treatment. She often incorporates mindfulness and acceptance techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to supplement exposure work.

Dr. Gur is a clinical psychologist in the Grand Central area and a clinical supervisor at the Wellness Center of CUNY's Graduate Center. Dr. Gur has extensive experience providing psychotherapy and integrating various treatment modalities (psychodynamic, CBT, ACT, IPT). Dr. Gur specializes in treating worry & anxiety (including panic, social), depression, low self worth, attachment/relationship issues, perinatal depression/anxiety, and in adjustment to parenting. I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced trauma and queer folks. I have been a faculty supervisor at the Mount Sinai World Trade Center Mental Health Program and the Therapists of NY group practice, and have taught classes on trauma, embodiment, and Existential psychology at The New School and CUNY. I am currently in private practice and supervising Ph.D. students at The New School.

I am a New York and California state licensed, bilingual (English/Spanish) and bicultural psychologist with over ten years of experience working with individuals of varying ages and life experiences. Many of my clients experience difficulty finding joy or feeling connected to others after experiencing a sudden life change or trauma. Many of my clients are also working professionals who struggle with managing stress in their everyday lives. I am particularly sensitive to clients dealing with symptoms of anxiety, trauma, depression and moments of transition such as breakups, work-related issues and family conflicts. I have specialized training and expertise in trauma.

Sameena Groves

Dr. Sameena Groves is a cognitive behavioral therapist who treats adolescents and adults in a private practice setting. With an office in Bronxville, NY and an office across from Grand Central, Dr. Groves typically works with clients referred for anxiety, depression, and other problems interfering with daily functioning.
