Emily Upshur

Emily Upshur, Ph.D., is a New York State licensed clinical psychologist. Dr. Upshur received her Master's degree in developmental psychology from Tufts University, and holds both a Master’s degree and PhD in Clinical Psychology from the Graduate School and University Center at the City University of New York, an American Psychological Association accredited training program.

Dr. Upshur currently has a faculty appointment at The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital and is a Supervising Psychologist at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center, where she trains psychiatry residents, psychology interns, and psychology externs. She was the Clinical Director of the Center for Child Trauma and Resilience at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She has a private practice in Manhattan as well as Westchester, New York.

Dr. Upshur has a decade of experience working in a wide range of clinical settings, including hospital outpatient clinics, in-patient units, psychiatric emergency rooms, college and graduate student counseling programs, private psycho-educational and neuropsychological testing facilities, and faculty private practice. These experiences have given her the unique ability to meet the diverse needs of adults and children.
