Suparna Basu


Originally from Delhi, India, Dr. Basu completed her medical training in Nepal before relocating to the United States for a psychiatric residency at North Shore Long Island Jewish Hospital. She started the outpatient psychiatric department at Baylor University in Irving, TX, and taught psychiatry to medical students at Texas A&M before moving into private practice.

Dr. Basu believes that building human connection is a critical aspect of practicing successful evidence-based medicine. She sees mental health as more than just the presence of specific symptoms, a diagnosis, or the medication her patients may decide to take. She gives clients the time, space, and non-judgmental attention they need during periods of crisis and enjoys collaborating with fellow clinicians, especially therapists, who she sees as an invaluable part of treatment.

Dr. Jessica A. Renz is Co-founder of MindWell NYC and a licensed clinical psychologist. She provides compassionate individual and group psychotherapy services to adult clients experiencing symptoms of anxiety and depression in addition to challenges with life transitions and stressors. She specializes in helping women learn skills to incorporate resilience and confidence in their daily lives. She leads MindWell NYC's The Daring Way program based on the work of Dr. Brené Brown and is a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator (CDWF).

Danielle Kahn

Adam Banks

Adam Banks is an New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Adam earned his MSW from Forhdam University in 2010 and has worked in a variety of settings, such as community mental health clinics and providing home-based family therapy. Adam focuses on infertility, ADHD, depression, anxiety, anger/stress management, and life transitions. He has the unique experience of being a male therapist who went through his own journey in building a family. Adam uses a warm, empathetic, and supportive approach to helping client with recurrent pregnancy loss, fertility preservation, third-party reproduction and ART, as well as the transition to parenthood. In addition, Adam provides consultations for intended patents, as well as evaluations for gestational carriers and egg/sperm donors. Adam utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and other approaches in his work with clients.
Adam currently sees clients virtually or in-person in Riverdale (Bronx) and Poughkeepsie, NY. Adam is the MET Chapter Chairperson of the Infertility/Family Building Practice Committee of the New York State Society for Clinical Social Work, as well as a member of the Mental Health Professional Group of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.
