Laura Impert

Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW-R

Laura Impert, LCSW-R has been practicing for over 25 years in the field with primarily students and adults. She has published in the field on grief and loss. Her belief is that therapy is most helpful when patients can understand the arc and narrative of their lives. Initially trained as a psychoanalyst, she believes some patients especially benefit from finding tools to regulate states of distress and heightened emotional arousal. Most valuable are the lifelong capacities to be curious and to self-reflect.

In the course of her practice, Laura has worked with patients around LGBTQ issues including work in the kink and poly community. Her work with the college age population focuses on helping students work through the developmental challenges of leaving home. First as a college counselor at Sarah Lawrence College, she sees students in the NYC area in her private practice. In addition to students, she is particularly interested in working with patients as they transition through new life stages, such as entering adulthood, divorce or separation issues, or patients facing illness and death.

Nicole Benedicto Elden

Psychologist

Dr. Nicole Benedicto Elden is a NY state licensed clinical psychologist, dissertation, career and life coach, supervisor, public speaker and author. She is a 1.5 generation Filipina-American offering teletherapy and in-person therapy (Wednesdays in Manhattan). She is the first in her family to go to graduate school and obtain a doctoral degree. Her therapeutic approach is integrative with a focus on responsiveness and multicultural humility. She has been trained in dynamic, interpersonal, supportive, cognitive behavioral and family systems. Her interests include anxiety, depression, intergenerational trauma, cross-cultural and minority identity formation, the immigration experience, interracial couples and multiracial parenting, interpersonal and relationship issues, and adjustment to life transitions. Elizabeth Zuch

Elizabeth is a NYS licensed psychologist, as well as a NYS certified school psychologist. She has extensive experience advocating for children and families seeking support services from public school districts. She is currently in a private practice conducting neuropsychological evaluations and classroom observations for preschool and elementary school aged children. Tracy A. Prout

Dr. Tracy Prout works with adolescents, adults, families, and couples. Tracy’s therapeutic approach is warm and open. She generally practices psychodynamic psychotherapy but also integrates other therapeutic modalities. Her approach is flexible and tailored to suit the needs of each client. Tracy’s work is informed by her clinical experience and the latest in evidence based research. In addition to her private practice work, Tracy offers individual and group trainings in Regulation Focused Psychotherapy for Children (RFP-C), an evidence based psychodynamic intervention for school-aged children with disruptive behavior problems. She also provides deliberate practice coaching for clinicians across a wide range of disciplines. Tracy is the author of several books and dozens of peer-reviewed papers.

Desiree Nazarian

Master Social Worker

Desiree Nazarian is a trauma focused LMSW with a specialization in intimacy and relational trauma. Desiree works alongside her clients to navigate the complexities of intimate partner betrayal and the nuances of betrayal trauma for men and women. Desiree is a first-generation Iranian American who deeply understands the role culture and family systems play in identity and boundary formation within BIPOC and immigrant communities. Her work involves bringing attention to one’s internal experience and allowing deep awareness of the spoken language of the body to allow for subconscious messages to be released and revealed.

In previous years, Desiree worked in the nonprofit sector providing intensive holistic and supportive counseling and service provision to Holocaust Survivors while identifying the impacts of their generational wisdom and trauma. Desiree is a Certified Partner Trauma Therapist, Certified Sex Addiction Therapist and is a member of (IITAP) International Trauma and Addiction Professionals. Richard Collie

I am an LCSW-R who has institute training in both trauma and group psychotherapy. I have been in practice since 2006 and work with individuals, couples, and groups. I specialize in trauma and addiction, and much of my work has been with clients in under-resourced communities, firefighters, military personnel, survivors of interpersonal trauma, and LGBTQ clients. I am certified in EMDR, and am informed by somatic work, IFS, and Presence Psychotherapy. My technique, when working with couples, lies somewhere between RLT, EFT, and Imago. Above all, I believe the therapeutic relationship is central to growth and healing. I have a new group for individuals over the age of thirty, and a BIPOC group that began in June of 2020. I see clients both online and in person at 12 West 9th Street in Greenwich Village, NY. My fee is $250 and I have a sliding scale based on income.
