Sarah J. Person

I am a psychotherapist with over 10 years experience and training. My passion is to help people address and solve issues in their lives so that they can achieve greater personal fulfillment. I work in a collaborative way with clients, setting personal goals and a plan for achieving them. Each person brings his or her own history and problems to my office, and in an atmosphere of safety and empathy, we work together using inspiration and insight to help uncover each person's unique self. I work with adolescents, adults and couples. My specialties include helping people learn new tools to manage and reduce their anxiety and depression, OCD as well as trauma and PTSD.
I have extensive training in trauma treatment, CBT and couples therapy as well as Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, a treatment that works with the body in mindfulness to help people heal from trauma and pain.

Sabina Preter

I am a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, practicing on the UES in Manhattan, offering individual assessments, second opinions, as well as ongoing treatment. The focus of my practice are children, adolescents, and young adults, in particular (but not exclusively) girls, and young women. Every consultation starts with a thorough evaluation process to define the nature of the issues, prior to making recommendations for treatment.
I evaluate and treat a wide range of conditions, examples are anxiety disorders, mood disorders (depression and bipolar disorder), adjustment reactions, attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder, developmental disorders, and post-traumatic conditions. I was trained in the European medical tradition in France and Germany and a particular interest of mine is working with international families. I provide services in English, French, and German.

I am Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College.
Besides the clinical work in my private practice, I serve as Director of Child Clinical Services at the Treatment Center of the New York Psychoanalytic Institute, where I also supervise psychotherapy students.

I have been nominated Castle Connolly "Top Doctor" in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry since 2015 for four consecutive years.

JUDITH Smith

I was a tenured professor for many years at Fordham University. Using the findings from a three-year qualitative research project, I wrote a book for professionals and parents on the internal world of mothers who are "torn in two" as they attempt to care for their struggling adult children and their own needs as they age. The book is Difficult: Mothering Challenging adult children through conflict and change, 2022. I now offer 10-week support groups for mothers (by zoom), as well as work individually with parents who seeking help in balancing their needs with the needs of their adult children. Jennifer Warpool, MA, LCAT, ATR-BC is a Licensed and Board-Certified Creative Art Therapist in private practice. She works with children, adolescents, and adults.
