Danielle Naghi

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in NY currently providing video psychotherapy sessions. I see adolescents, adults, and couples who are dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, relationship and family issues, academic stressors, and identity development. I approach psychotherapy holistically, integrating models such as Internal Family Systems Theory, The Ackerman Relational Approach and Trauma Theory. Working in an environment focused on social justice, it is important to me to be able to help clients navigate issues related to experiences of racism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, and sexism. I have my Bachelor's Degree in Neuroscience & Behavior and Master's Degree in Social Work from Columbia University. I have postgraduate training in couples and family therapy from The Ackerman Institute, as well as postgraduate training as an Internal Family Systems Therapist. Prior to starting in private practice, I have provided psychotherapy in a community-based and school-based settings.

I am a therapist licensed in NY & NJ in private practice seeing clients virtually. My specialty is working with women and queer folks in their 20's-30's who may appear successful or high functioning externally, but are struggling inside. Commonly I see depression, anxiety and ADHD or other neurodivergences that manifests in these clients in the form of harsh self talk or self doubt, despite the things they've achieved. Many of the clients I see have experienced traumas and benefit from a relational approach and my use of EMDR.
