Aminda Heckman

Clinical Social Work/Therapist, PhD, LCSW

While I have over 20 years of experience working with children and adults with a wide spectrum of mental health and life adjustment issues, I specialize in issues relating to couples and families including pre-partnership/marital counseling, infertility, pre-and post-partum mental health, adoption home studies/post-adoptive family therapy, attachment challenges, and ending relationships in a mindful and more productive manner (especially when there is concern about children). My focus expanded to women empowerment during the pandemic when Asian women who were traumatized by the anti-Asian backlash desperately reached out to me for help.

Building a family and making sure everyone’s needs are being recognized and addressed can be painful no matter how much love there is in a family. I am here to welcome you and your families to my practice.
